DISNEY’S HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2 opens on Friday! School is out and Troy, Gabriella, and the rest of the Wildcats are spending the summer working at the Lava Springs Country Club which was founded by Ryan and Sharpay's family! With the club's annual talent show right around the corner, things begin to heat up as Troy agrees to sing with Sharpay. Will Troy and Gabriella realize that they're meant to be? Or is it already too late for them to sing one last song together?

This musical phenomenon is still going strong and leaps onto the TriArts stage from July 10th through July 26th.  The original High School Musical, staged two years ago, was wildly popular with young audiences and the TriArts’ sequel, full of fabulous choreography and high-energy is sure to please.

Flashbacks and Fun Facts about TriArts’ High School Musical 2

Troy and Gabriella look familiar? They should: Bobby Gouse and Regina Albertario return in the roles they originated at TriArts two summers ago to rave reviews.

Michael Dunn, last seen as Malcolm in TriArts production of The Full Monty is back as Chad Danforth, Troy’s best friend.

High kicking Joey Tierno, he of the 8 Russian splits as a Protean in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, will be kicking up his heels as a Pool Boy and Fabulous Guy. We think he’s fabulous, too!

Rodney Dugas, portrays Fulton, the only adult and authority figure in High School Muiscal 2. You may remember him as Pellinore in last summer’s Camelot, or or maybe Pawnee Bill in Annie Get Your Gun. Most memorable role, however, may have been his cameo as Lauren Bacall in Divas Do Divas.

Yes, Charles Franklin and Julia Franklin, who play brother and sister Ryan and Sharpay, are real life brother and sister (but not twins—one year separates them).
