Searching for a few good men…
TriArts still needs male actors between the ages of 18 and 60 for the 2008 summer season. Singing and non-singing male roles are available for The Full Monty, Camelot, and Aida. All kinds and sizes of roles are available, from a short walk-on as a cop, soldier or a repo man to an Egyptian Pharoah. Auditions will be held Sunday March 30th at the TriArts Bok Gallery. Please call 860-364-SHOW (7469) Ext. 100 for more information.
TriArts 2008 Young Playwrights Festival
“Creating opportunities and venues for new playwrights is vital to the future of the theatre and it all starts with our youngest voices. There’s nothing like seeing the pride and excitement on the faces of the young writers as they watch their plays being performed for the first time.”
– Artistic Director Michael Berkeley |
Is there a budding playwright in your family?
Make sure he or she knows about TriArts’ Young Playwrights Contest and Festival, open to 3rd–12th grade students in the four counties of the tri-state area (Litchfield, Dutchess, Columbia and Berkshire).
The winning authors will be matched up with professional playwrights for mentoring sessions and will receive $100 cash prizes. This summer, they will also have the thrill of seeing their work come to life on the TriArts stage.
Entries are due by April 1, 2008. Please visit the TriArts Web site at www.triarts.net for more information and entry forms.
