Tickets are selling fast for Spotlight 2010

Tickets are selling fast for Spotlight 2010, a fund raiser to benefit TriArts Sharon to be held on Saturday, May 29th from 5:30 to 8:00pm at the Salisbury School Boathouse. You’ll enjoy cocktails, hors d’ouevres, music by Artistic Director Michael Berkeley and friends, and a live and silent auction.

The Salisbury School Boathouse, which overlooks little Twin Lakes is a new venue for the TriArts spring fund raiser. Carol Kalikow and Lola White are co-chairs of Spotlight 2010 and have put together an exciting array of items for the live and silent auction. Check out a sampling of items in the box, and check back to the web site for the full list of items next week. Said Ms. Kalikow, “Here’s your chance to come to a fabulous party, support your local theatre and bid in an auction with items that range from the sublime to the downright creative, at a variety of prices to suit all.”

Meanwhile, Michael Berkeley is hard at work matching up songs for the eight live auction items. A medley of James Taylor and Carole King hits was a no brainer for auctioning off sold off tickets to see Taylor & King in the 2010 Troubadour Reunion World Tour at Tanglewood, but there are plenty of surprises in store, including some that involve grass skirts.

The ticket is $100 per person and reservations can be made by calling 860-364-SHOW (7469). “We can’t think of a better way to kick off the summer season than with this event at the fabulous Salisbury School Boathouse over Memorial Day Weekend”, said co-chair Lola White.

Executive Director Alice Bemand added: “TriArts prides itself on offering Broadway quality theatre, using professional designers and performers enhanced by our community. There is a cost to bringing in the professionals and ticket sales do no close our budget gap, which is why we count on Spotlight 2010 to keep the lights lit in our little corner of the woods.”

Visit the web site, www.triarts.net for all the details, including a look at all the exciting auction items or call 860-364-SHOW (7469).
